Boiler Expansion Indicator is also called Thermal Expansion Indicator or Pipe Displacement Indicator.It is a dedicated mechanical monitoring device for boiler and high-temperature pipeline systems in thermal power,chemical and heating industries.
It visually tracks the thermal expansion and displacement of boiler headers,steam drums,main steam pipes and other key components during start-up,normal operation and shutdown.By observing the scale readings,operators can judge whether the thermal displacement is within the design range,so as to prevent pipe deformation,weld cracking,stress damage and leakage caused by restricted or abnormal expansion.It is an indispensable safety accessory for boiler systems.
Main Structure

Working Principle
Perform zero calibration under cold condition before the boiler is put into operation.
When the equipment heats up,pipelines and components expand thermally and produce displacement.
The connecting rod drives the pointer to move synchronously with the displaced parts.
Staff read the displacement data from the dial in real time.If the value exceeds the allowable limit,timely inspection and troubleshooting are required.
