The Diaphragm Type Explosion Vent is a vital passive safety device widely applied in industrial facilities that handle combustible dust, flammable gas and volatile materials. It is specially installed on dust collectors, silos, pipelines, mixers and other enclosed processing equipment. Its core purpose is to release sudden overpressure caused by internal deflagration or explosion in an instant, so as to prevent equipment deformation, rupture and collapse, and protect on-site personnel and surrounding facilities from severe damage.
This explosion vent adopts a precision composite diaphragm structure. The main diaphragm is mostly made of high-quality stainless steel, with pre-scored lines designed according to set parameters to ensure accurate rupture at the rated pressure. Matching sealing materials such as PTFE or silicone are attached to maintain excellent airtightness under normal working conditions, effectively avoiding leakage of raw materials, dust and process gas. The overall assembly is equipped with standard metal flanges and gaskets, featuring firm structure, good vibration resistance and adaptability to long-term operation under alternating pressure and temperature changes. Different material combinations and structural designs are available to cope with high temperature, corrosion and negative pressure working environments.
The working mode is fully automatic without power supply or manual control. During regular production, the diaphragm stays intact and sealed, keeping the internal operating environment stable. Once an explosion occurs inside the equipment, the internal pressure surges sharply. When the pressure reaches the calibrated burst value, the diaphragm will rupture rapidly along the preset weak lines within milliseconds. The instant opening forms a large discharge channel to release overpressure, flame and high-temperature gas outwards quickly, which effectively cuts off the spread of explosion and eliminates safety hazards. After triggering, the damaged diaphragm can be replaced simply to resume normal operation.
This product boasts prominent advantages including high response speed, precise burst pressure and stable performance. It will not produce sharp fragments when rupturing, so no secondary damage will be caused. With compact layout and standard connecting dimensions, it is easy for on-site installation and replacement. It requires almost no daily maintenance, which greatly reduces operational costs. All products are manufactured in compliance with international explosion protection standards, with reliable quality and stable technical indicators.
As a standard explosion relief component, the Diaphragm Type Explosion Vent is extensively used in thermal power plants, coal powder systems, chemical plants, food processing, woodworking, pharmaceutical and building material industries. It has become an essential safety guarantee for all kinds of enclosed production equipment involving combustible substances.
