Gravity Type Air Lock

Gravity Type Air Lock,also known as counter weight flap valve,is a passive air sealing&ash discharging device driven purely by material gravity and counterweight force.It is widely installed under dust collectors,cyclones,silos and drying equipment to isolate pressure difference between upstream and downstream while discharging powder or granular materials without external power supply.

Structure

Welded steel housing:Top round flange for connection,middle buffer chamber,conical bottom for smooth material outflow

Sealing flap plate:Wear-resistant sealing mat tightly fits the valve seat to block air leakage

Counterweight lever mechanism:Adjustable rocker arm and weight block control the opening threshold of the flap plate

Shaft&bearing assembly:Stable rotation,low friction and long service life

Working Principle

Raw materials fall into the middle chamber from the top inlet and accumulate to generate downward pressure.

When the material weight exceeds the torque of the counterweight,the flap plate opens automatically to release materials downward.

After materials are fully discharged,the counterweight pulls the lever back to reset the flap plate,forming an airtight seal instantly.

For double-layer models,the upper and lower flaps open alternately.At least one flap stays closed at all times,completely preventing air backflow,gas leakage or pressure loss.
