The Electric Jaw Type Gate Valve is a heavy-duty automatic discharge control device specially designed for bulk solid material handling systems. Developed to replace traditional manual and pneumatic gate valves, this electrically driven jaw gate valve provides stable, precise, and fully automated opening and closing for silos, hoppers, bunkers, and chutes. Different from conventional flat sliding gate valves, the electric jaw gate valve adopts a unique double-jaw swing structure. Equipped with a high-performance electric actuator and crank linkage transmission system, the valve converts electric power into mechanical motion to drive two symmetrical arc jaw plates for synchronous swinging movement. The scissor-like opening and closing action enables fast and flexible adjustment of the discharge port. When fully open, the jaw plates retract outward to form a large, smooth, dead-angle-free flow channel, ensuring unobstructed material flow and effectively eliminating material bridging, accumulation, and blockage problems. When fully closed, the jaws fit tightly to achieve reliable material shut-off and dust sealing.
The entire valve body is constructed with high-strength carbon steel or stainless steel through integral welding and precision machining. The thickened valve body and reinforced jaw plates provide excellent rigidity, wear resistance, and impact resistance, enabling the valve to withstand long-term static material pressure and frequent material impact. The structural stability guarantees no deformation, jamming, or leakage even under harsh working conditions with large-flow, abrasive, and heavy bulk materials. For corrosive or high hygiene requirements, stainless steel versions are available to ensure clean and pollution-free material conveying.
Driven by a professional electric actuator, the valve features stable output torque, sensitive response, and accurate positioning. It supports automatic opening and closing, remote signal control, and PLC system interconnection, realizing intelligent unmanned operation. Standard limit switches are installed to precisely feed back fully open and fully closed signals, ensuring accurate and safe system control. Compared with pneumatic and manual types, the electric jaw gate valve requires no air compressor equipment, saves auxiliary energy consumption, and features simpler installation, lower failure rate, and more stable long-term operation.
