The Jaw Gate Valve, also known as a jaw discharge gate valve, is a heavy-duty industrial solid material control valve specially designed for hopper, silo, and bin discharge systems. Different from conventional flat sliding gate valves, it adopts a unique double-jaw swing opening and closing structure, which is highly targeted for granular, powdery, and small lump bulk materials. The overall structure of the jaw gate valve is robust and compact, mainly composed of a high-strength welded steel valve body, a pair of symmetrical arc-shaped jaw gate plates, a crank linkage mechanism, sealing components, and a driving device. The core innovation lies in its scissor-style swinging opening principle. The two jaw plates rotate around the fixed axis synchronously to realize rapid opening and closing. When fully opened, the arc jaw plates retract outward, forming a large and smooth discharge channel without dead angles or material accumulation, which completely avoids the blockage and bridging problems that often occur with traditional flat gate valves. When fully closed, the contact surfaces of the double jaws fit tightly to achieve effective material shut-off and dust sealing.

The thickened jaw structure can withstand the static pressure and impact load of large-capacity warehouse materials for a long time, ensuring no deformation or stuck failure under heavy working conditions. The surface of the flow passage is smooth and flat, which greatly reduces friction during material flowing and improves the smoothness of discharging. For corrosive and hygienic-grade working conditions, stainless steel versions are available to prevent rust and material contamination.
The jaw gate valve supports multiple driving modes including manual, pneumatic, electric, and electro-hydraulic drive, which can adapt to different automation levels of production lines. The transmission mechanism adopts a mature crank linkage design with low operating resistance and stable switching action. It can realize frequent opening and closing operations without jamming, and is especially suitable for continuous and intermittent feeding scenarios in industrial production.
