A damper valve, also known as duct damper, is a combined flow control device widely used in industrial ductwork, ventilation and flue gas systems. It integrates the functions of a valve and a damper, mainly for adjusting, throttling, cutting off or diverting the flow of air, flue gas and other process media.
Structure & Working Principle
It is composed of valve body, sealing parts, flow control components and actuators. The internal blades, discs or gate plates are driven by manual, electric or pneumatic devices to change opening degrees. It can flexibly switch between full open, partial opening and full closed states to manage medium flow, pressure and pipeline on-off.
Key Features
Multi-functional Performance: Realize flow regulation, shut-off, pressure balancing and flow distribution in one unit.
Wide Working Range: Adopt heat-resistant and anti-corrosion materials, adaptable to high temperature, dusty and corrosive working conditions.
Flexible Operation: Various driving modes available, easy to connect with automatic control systems for remote operation.
Compact & Reliable: Simple structure, small space occupation, stable operation and low maintenance cost.
Common Categories
Butterfly Damper Valve: Compact structure, good for flow regulation in medium and small pipelines.
Gate Damper Valve: Outstanding sealing performance, applied for complete isolation and cut-off.
Louver/Baffle Damper Valve: Large flow capacity, ideal for airflow balance and distribution in large ducts.
High Temperature Damper Valve: With heat-resistant lining, specially designed for high-temperature flue gas pipelines.
Main Applications
Industrial boilers, power plants, cement plants, metallurgical furnaces, waste incinerators, environmental flue gas treatment, factory ventilation and dust collection systems.
