A flue gas damper is a specialized industrial valve installed in flue gas ducts, designed to control, isolate and regulate the flow of exhaust gas from combustion equipment. It is widely applied in power plants, boilers, cement plants, incinerators and industrial furnaces.
Structure&Working Principle
It mainly consists of valve body, sealing components, flow control blades and actuators(electric, pneumatic or manual).By rotating blades or sliding gate plates,it switches between fully open, partially throttled and fully closed states to adjust gas flow, cut off pipelines for equipment maintenance, and balance system pressure.
Core Advantages
High temperature&corrosion resistance:Made of heat-resistant steel and anti-corrosion materials, adapts to hot flue gas with dust, sulfur and other corrosive media.
Good sealing performance:Effectively prevents gas leakage, ensures safe operation of the whole system.
Dust-proof&anti-blocking:Optimized structure avoids ash accumulation, stable operation and long service life.
Flexible control:Compatible with automatic control systems, realizing remote adjustment and interlock protection.
Common Types
Butterfly flue gas damper:Compact structure, suitable for medium and small pipelines, mainly for flow regulation.
Louver flue gas damper:Multiple blades, large flow capacity, ideal for large-diameter flue ducts.
Gate/Guillotine flue gas damper:Superior shut-off effect, used for complete isolation during equipment overhaul.
High-temperature flue gas damper:Equipped with refractory lining, for ultra-high temperature flue gas working conditions.
Main Applications
Thermal power plants, industrial boilers(flue gas exhaust and bypass control)
Cement, metallurgy, chemical industry(kiln and furnace flue gas treatment)
Waste incinerators, environmental protection flue gas purification systems
Waste heat recovery and flue gas circulation pipelines
