A high temperature damper valve is a heavy-duty industrial component designed to regulate, isolate,or shut off the flow of hot flue gases, air,or process gases in extreme thermal environments, typically ranging from 650°C up to 1100°C.It is widely utilized in boilers, kilns, power plants, cement factories, metallurgical plants, and heat recovery systems.
Core Structure&Working Principle
Main Components:It consists of a robust valve body(carbon steel/stainless steel),a rotating disc or louver blades,a drive shaft,high-temperature resistant seals,and an actuator(electric/pneumatic/manual).
Working Mechanism:The disc or blades rotate around the central shaft. When fully open,it aligns with the flow path for minimal pressure drop;when closed,it forms a tight seal to block flow;at intermediate positions,it accurately adjusts flow rates.
Key Features
Extreme Heat Resistance:Constructed with heat-resistant alloys and refractory/ceramic linings to withstand continuous high temperatures up to 1100°C.
Low Leakage Performance:Equipped with flexible stainless steel or high-temperature silicone seals, meeting AMCA Class 2A leakage standards(≤0.5%at full shut).
Robust&Durable:Welded assembly structure ensures structural stability;insulated blades reduce heat transfer to the actuator, extending service life.
Flexible Actuation:Available with electric, pneumatic, hydraulic,or manual actuation options for seamless integration into automated control systems.
Main Types
Butterfly Damper:A single circular disc,compact design,low pressure drop,ideal for general high-temperature regulation。
Louver Damper:Multiple parallel blades,suitable for large-volume gas flow control in high-temperature ducts。
Guillotine Damper:A flat sliding plate, provides tight isolation for critical shut-off applications。
Typical Applications
Power generation(boiler flue gas systems, heat recovery steam generators)
Cement&glass manufacturing(kilns,preheaters,RTO systems)
Metallurgical plants(furnace exhaust,hot gas pipelines)
Industrial heating systems(high-temperature air ducts, waste heat recovery)
